Villa Il Chianti

Situated on a hill southwest of the Brolio Castle (part of Barone Ricasoli’s country estate), this is one of the most beautiful 17th Century farmhouses you can find. The farmhouse is surrounded by the owners’ vine-yards and had a stunning panorama that encompasses the towers of Siena, Monte Amiata and Radicofani. It was here that the Baron’s predecessors refined the “recipe” for the wine of the area; Chianti.

Inside the villa – which has been restored in the traditional style of rural Tuscan architecture – you will find a spacious living room, a dining area and four double rooms, each with their own bathroom. This villa has 4 rooms which sleep 8 people. However, on request, the tower can accommodate other 4 people. Thus, in total, this villa sleeps up to 12 people. Guests may also enjoy the  garden and its beautiful swimming pool which is ideal for a refreshing swim or simply to laze beside while enjoying the view.

During your stay you can have a guided tour of the delightful Castello di Brolio and its cellars and taste the finest wines produced from the vine-yards that surround the villa. This is the ideal place for cooking courses, picnics, horse-riding excursions and a wealth of other activities that we would be delighted to arrange if you so wish.
